I've come to the conclusion that aside from the ports and a few tanking buffs, a Warden is a melee version of the classic EQ Necro archtype. Its focus is on DOTs, and morale(health) transfer spells. It even has fears.
Its really fun, and not for the people that like simple things. You'll have to memorize combos and plan ahead, there's no random clicking to a Warden, you have to know what you're doing.
Later on their health transfers hit 10+ targets depending on how you set your wardens up, and you have variations such as adding an addition DOT with your xfer, or having aggro tick on each pulse of the Xfer. Its really cool if you like complex and engaging classes.
