The only problem is that everyone in the game looks identical to everyone else...so visually it won't really matter. I think its a cool idea...just wish there was more visually to identify by a statue of your character.

I feel that it'd be better if they were paintings rather than statues. That way, you could at least see the colors that each player dyed their clothes.

That's not a bad idea either. I picture tapestries, perhaps, which burn when someone's knocked from the top ten.

I do like the statue concept though.

That's great and all, but Mythic is still keeping that horrible ward gear system in place with patch 1.1. So all these players that rock are basically scenario lovers, while RVR lovers get the shaft in both recognition and ward gear requirements.

What is a top player in WAR? Most damage/healing taken/done, kills, rezzes, debuffs, deaths, renown, exp, influence, scenario/oRvR objectives, keep/fortress/city defenses/attacks, ...?

Player quality in MMOs cannot be measured in any meaningful form by numbers. Especially when there is basically an infinite number of metrics possible.

The number of status in game currently does not match all these possibilities at all ;).

Interesting an MMO should build statues of individuals when nearly everythibg in ANY MMO today requires groups to acomplish.

The MMO industry has so bashed, spun, forced, and required anything worthwhile ingame to require a group to attain.

When will the devs learn the MMO means Massive Multi-player, not forced because we want you group mmo.

While i do not play anything currently except COD4. i do wait for the MMO that lets the single player or group, decide what outcomes will be and achieve things as a solo player on par with group play if they have the smarts or creativity.

Those statues are simply (IMHO) devs trying to bring some "hey you, looky here" to try and gain sub or save their game from monthly sub losses.
