Another rubbish report wasting our tax dollars. This report reeks of the PHD piece on how playing an MMO creates or improves leaders skills or simply creates them. That piece was also a huge joke written by a PHD with no leadership skills and no practical leadership experience, so why was it even written?

This current piece....smacks of someone needing a reason to keep their job. This will be painfully simple for this PHD.

Raiding (in any MMO) is neither fluid nor dynamic, its repetative, nothing more, once the mouse makes it through the maze the party is over, nothing new. The only stress generated in an MMO raid is from people spazzing over not finishing it or it getting wiped over and over. These folks do not raid because they want to, they raid because "need" to. Clear thought and common sense do not apply to the MAJORITY of raid guilds, they are run like sweatshops with folks actually being yelled at for not showing up on time. Pyramid scams? Those are raid guilds.

Raid organizers (this is the proper term, the word leader has squat to do with anything raid related), will spazz, along with many elements of the "ranking" class in any particular guild punishing folks for causing a raid to fail, where does this come from? common sense? fair play? no big deal we can try again in a few weeks?

Repeat, repeat, repeat. It's called rote action and any living being on this planet can be taught how to do it, nothing spectacular about. The bottom line here is the same as training any dog or monkey, show them what to do enough times, punish them when they do not, and what do you have? oversimplying what a raid is? no, thats EXACTLY what a raid is.

The fact is this, When folks get too wrapped up in a game to the point they need something it's time to quit, when you want to play, then do so. The majority of WOW folks have some big problems that need to be addressed, see the hundreds of thousands of vids if you need proof.

Trying to compare running and organizing a raid, or grouping in any way in a game to real life experience is trivializing the real accomplishments of folks all over the world, it's distasteful to read and shame on the writer for even trying to shove the garbage piece in anyones face.
