And these updates are really kind of underwhelming compared to stuff we've gotten in previous updates. The biggest announcement for December so far was the player-made dungeons, I believe...

Ffxi is a joke, its been more than a year since the latest expansion was released and the last part of the story is not even available yet, this updates are just pity updates...

The whole game needs a Huge update.. or it needs to die already and let the next ff mmog come out..

I tried the trial for this recently and I just have to say the game is incredibly confusing. I don't expect every MMORPG to follow the same conventions and menu layouts, but I do expect ever PC game to give you obvious menu to go to quit the damn game.

Burzum...do you even play the game? Sure the story isn't completed for WoTG, but, if you actually play and follow FFXI, it's usually takes over 15 months from the expansions release for the story to be completed. Second, now other MMO in history has provided the massive amount of new game mechanics withing updates. 2 Updates ago we got the ZNM system, which is pretty popular. Last update we got Level Sync, which is one of the best additions in years.

Tony...don't give up on the game. Remember it was made a a ps2 title, and eventually was ported over to the pc. That is why the menu's are different than standard pc games. I personally play it with a controller when I play on the PC, but I mainly play it on the 360 (used to play on PS2 also). The macro system is your life saver (much better than WoW's macros), and it makes combat a lot easier.

I for one, can't wait for the december update. The Fields of Valor seems like it might be cool, but the player made mazes...that's gonna rock.
