Please, we can do without the pointless posts about him missing out on all the content. Obviously he is going to play through WotLK on an alt at some point and enjoy it at a more leisurely pace, but someone has to hit the world first.

Actually I wasn't really replying to your post - just trying to head off the comments that I knew would be coming. This story was on wowinsider yesterday and there were about 100 comments worth of tedious drivel about how he'd "wasted" WotLK by "rushing through it".

Player from one of the first timezones to see the release is the first to reach 80. News at 11.

I guess it would be interesting if you got something for it. But sitting around and doing arguably the most boring thing you can do in the game and then getting nothing for it? OK...

Darus (Athene and CO), would have technically been the first level 80, but nonetheless congrats to Nymh.

You can always count on the americans to make the most clever posts:p

Just another example of how dumbed down this game has become and how easy blizzard wants it to be to appeal to the mass market.

Yeah, because you couldn't possibly do this in LotR or Vanguard or EQ2...

Oh wait, you can.
