I spent a fair amount of time in the beta and came way feeling very underwhelmed with the new content. With that said I will not be picking up WotLK. I'll be letting my accounts expire at the end of this month. It's still a great game, just not a great game for me anymore.

I agree with the sentiments here about the grind. I did play beta briefly but stopped so everything would not seem old when I picked up the expansion.

Yeah, it is "more of the same" though well done.

I will be picking it up though for the same reason I picked up Burning Crusade... all my friends are playing it. ;)

And that's the sad thing. People are playing wow mostly because their friends are there, not because it has any real quality. The game is going on by inertia.

I stopped playing wow about 3 months ago after three years. It was a very fun 3 years and i haven't become a wow hater just because it lost it's thrill for me, wow is indeed a great game and the expansion looks good and i wish everyone who'll play it has lots of fun with it, i just got tired of it. I've been trying WAR recently and it also is a great game, but i cancelled my account now because of performance issues.

I don't get why people have to go hating every other MMO that they're not playing, too much fanboy'ism i think. Every game has its goods and bads, you just have to find which is the right one for you.

As far as i'm concerned i'm going back to LOTRO and Moria :). Great solid game that looks really good and has in my opinion the best community in MMO's i've played.

Anyways have fun with whatever MMO you're playing, that's what it's all about :)

Since I was playing WAR about a month and a half ago and having fun, I had planned on not buying WotLK right away. But the uninteresting and homogeneous class skills, unresponsive combat/controls and T3 ScenarioHammer finally wore me out.

Goes to show how addictive WoW is. 3 weeks ago I couldn't have cared less about getting the expansion, but now I'm 100% wrapped up in the game again after only having resubbed a couple weeks ago. Can't wait to see the new 10 and 25 man raids and it's nice to be playing a social MMO again.

Social MMO? Are you talking about WoW? the MMO that made grouping a chore?

Been quit WoW for well over a year now and I have no intention of ever going back. Boring lootwhore, rep-grindfest, with zero meaningful pvp is still a boring lootwhore rep-gindfest with zero meaningful pvp. Plus my old server has about 3 horde left and nothing will every be done to balance servers because more money can be made with paid transfers.

My guild finally moved on as well and a few of us are enjoying WAR. The one complaint we all have recently is that we don't have enough time to play it. There's almost too much to do if you have any other commitments outside of gaming :P

"Every game has its goods and bads, you just have to find which is the right one for you."

You, sir, are a breath of fresh air on this blog that seems to be ever filled with stagnant hate. (For WoW, yes, but also for MMOs that are not WoW, for the blog itself, and seemingly for anything at all.) Needless to say, you have no place here. Please leave forthwith and take your tolerance, patience, good cheer, and fun with you.

I've played WoW since Dec. 04.

Playing Eve-Online now and I don't have any interest in getting back into WoW.

My friends I made online kept me there as long as I DID last - but its time for a new game...

Nope, I won't be WotLK'ing...
