I just can't play that game. At no point do you ever graduate from quests that ask you to kill 10 things, or find 10 things. If I ever see anyone playing that game, their quest tracker is completely filled with it. I just don't get how the game is so popular.

Fact is Blizzard has come a long way with the type of quests and storytelling, and for you to make a comment as ignorant as this shows you either haven't played it recently, or never at all.

I'll give you I played last january or so. I only stomached it to about level 20. My girlfriend quit about 2 months ago but I KNOW her quest log was stuffed with it. There is no ignorance here. Having a couple raid quests doesn't excuse you.

I agree with BAM. I got so bored i couldn't make it to 60 back a few years ago because all the game was is kill 10 rats quests. I thought some of the quests in the dranie (sp?) starting area last expansion were really nice. Such as the totem quest or the one with the dragon.. but after that it was the same crap again and i quit for good.

@lethality = lol what game have you been playing. I just canceled by account last month after playing since launch. All the game has to offer is broken PVP and kill 10 about a million times. unless you are farming for gear and it's kill 1million to collect primal.

Raiding is fun for the first few years, but they never update the content fast enough or they nerf everything into the ground.

I had a blast playing and liked all the people I played with. They are what keep me interested in WOW, but Wrath is the same old same old. Unless you are to blinded by your addiction to see it.

Not a WOW-ie either. Could care less about WotLK.

Canceled my WAR account last night for a few reasons but I will probably go back after a few more big patches. One game I will NOT be playing again is WoW. I played it off and on until about a year ago and this expansion doesn't impress me at all.

Booooooring.

My addiction gets fixed on the 18th with Moria.

Come to papa my legendaries weapons that I get to customize they way I want versus grinding rep dungeons over and over in hopes of a one time drop might happen!

I played WoW from the middle of beta (not open) till the first preview weekend of WAR, and the last time I logged in was just to clear the mailboxes of all my toons. I uninstalled WoW a few days ago.

Makes me sad in some ways, but I have ZERO interest in the new expansion, so it was the right decision.

WoW is a fun game. But I already did the reskinned graphics/repackaged quests/rinse/repeat routine with TBC. Unless RL friends end up dragging me back in at some point down the line, I'll be taking a much needed Blizzard break until their "next-gen" MMORPG is in the can a few years down the line.

I agree with you on the reskinned thing. After seeing Fel Boars in the Hellfire Pennesula of TBC and then seeing screenshots of new Boars in Northrend with moose horns on them.....Seriously, how many damned times are they going to reuse boars in that game?! The hunter's pets must really be getting sick of the stuff.

But, other then that, they're reusing alot of the creature models from Scholomance and the Northern and Eastern Plaguelands. Even though I understand that it's with the lore of what they're doing, it's still kind of rediculous.

And, with them only adding in the single hero class of Death Knights instead of adding in another one to give choice; they've sealed it to where alot of the population (roughly 40%) will be rolling DKs within the first month. And, there are several Hero classes they could have done: Arch Druid is the number one that pops out of my head.

Yes, but I'm still waiting for my copy to arrive from Gamestop. I'm so jealous of my friends who already have theirs installed! Today is really dragging by. I can't believe it's not even ten AM yet...

I betaed it. Discovered (without an hint of surprise to be honest) that it was the same old boring overcooked soup and uninstalled everything without looking back.

Hopefully more and more people will discover the same and shift their attention where it's more deserved (which includes at least 80% of the other MMORPGs in the market).

I'm going to buy the expansion today. I stopped playing for a few months to play the beta and now release version of WAR. I love WAR but no one is playing it. PQ influence grinds alone are excruciatingly boring. So I reactivated my account and will play until something better comes along.

I'm awaiting mine which is being delivered today. Trust me...we don't mind if you people don't return. Blizzard won't miss you. This game has more than enough people to keep me and Blizzard happy for years to come. I'm dropping my WAR account (that game is empty and too much of a grind fest) and I'm giving all my attention to the new lands of WoW.

You are all the same people if you look back who went on and on about how great Age of Conan would be...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ... then you went on and on about how great WAR was going to be ... HAHAHAHAHAHA ... if you dislike WoW this much why bother commenting.... Oh I know why... cause you'll be there playing...what losers!

LOL at a wowboy actually calling ANY other game a grindfest.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but WAR is in perfect health. We just had an huge battle with hundreds of people that raged from praag to chaos wastes last week, and we're having a just as big ongoing battle on the opposite direction (to Reikland) that started two days ago and is still going on right now.

if you think the game is "empty" you probably never had an account to begin with, and you're probably just trolling.

New lands in WoW? Sorry mate, but WoW and "new" don't really pair well in the same sentence.

Unfortunately for you, War IS great. Something that wow will never be, since all the expansions they pull out completely fall short of any innovation. We bother commenting because (differently from you, that just follow the mass of the sheeps) we have an opinion.

John, they're commenting because this is MASSIVELY, the blogsite for MMOs in general. If these people were saying the comments on WoWInsider, you might have a point, but they're not. They play all the various non-WoW games and have likely played and grown tired of WoW and moved on.

So now I ask you John: if you love WoW so much, why aren't you saying this on WoWInsider instead of Massively?

I cancelled my WoW account last month. I just can't see myself spending hours and hours grinding through PvE quests or trying to obtain sufficient gear for their implementation of PvP. I'm having more fun in WAR and am also greatly enjoying revisiting Guild Wars in anticipation of the sequel. (Hint: Turn off the chat window to screen out the wee ones.)

No, I have no desire to play WoW. After TBC (well even before that) I realized it's just a cleverly packaged treadmill to keep people paying and playing.

I really do want a good sandbox game to play that will keep me playing just because it's fun... not filled with crack.
