That's assuming they can get the servers back up in time.

at this point they really should let everyone access lich king for 48 hours without their access keys so if they're waiting for a delivery on thursday daytime or can't get it till the store opens cause no midnight opening they can still start right off.
not that i can play it yet myself... highest char is 50 though i've got my copy reserved to pick up on thursday daytime!

Well, a bunch of my mates are taking the "cough cough, hello i'm too sick to come to work" path.

But i am lucky enough to have some vacation leave left this year, and i'll be taking tomorrow and friday off to make sure i get a good head start :)

FTW!

Har. You're talking about a game that experienced a good 4 or 5 days of either no servers available or really spotty activity that left people trapped in loading screens, BGs and dungeons.

Then, yesterday, in what Blizzard swears was normal maintenance, mail gets lost, and the servers are again down for the entire day and much of the night for most people. They come back up, and suddenly some PvP gear is available for free, and the servers go right back down again.

And I'm supposed to take off work under the assumption WoW will even be remotely playable tomorrow? Or Friday? I think not. Bailing on work might better be saved for sometime next week.

I don't know if it would be considered lucky or not that I've contracted bronchitis this week or not. I mean yeah I'll get to play WotLK, but that'll only be in between coughing my lungs up.

The key is not thur...the key is Friday! Seriously, the servers will not last long on Thursday once people do start coming home, but if you wait till Friday a large amount of headaches will be over with ready for that great call in sick.

I have the CE being delivered to me tommorrow morning, but I will be at work....and I will be at work on Friday as well. I remember lag with BC... And no matter how much I wanna hit Northrend, the thought of competing with everyone and their mother on quest kills... Nope. Nooooo Way.

I'll wait til this weekend or next week. I might actually level some in Netherstorm....since I never touched it.

Well since I couldn't get to go to Blizzcon, I just used a couple of vacation days so I don't have to lie.

In all honesty, I may be sick tomorrow. I've been fighting off whatever is going around at work, and tonight I'll be sitting in the cold with a 50% chance of rain to pick up my copy at midnight. So if I call in sick to work tomorrow, I won't be faking.

I'll be working as I'm no longer planning on getting Wrath. I've discovered other gaming options that are more attractive to me. This may be the perfect occasion to give EVE Online another try.

When BC dropped, we probably lost 15 people to the expansion here at work. This time around, everyone is playing something else and I've heard of no plans on skipping out for Wrath.

Those of you who do get it, remember that it's not a race. Sit back and enjoy yourself. Relax, have fun, and leave plenty of comments so we'll know how it's going.

I'm not wasting PTO to stare at the character selection screen or whatnot. :P I do plan on playing nonstop during my four-day Thanksgiving weekend though!

I doubt I'll call in sick on Thursday. Most likely it will be Monday/Tuesday that I'll be sick. It's sad how my brother got ran over by a reindeer like that.

First thing first in the morning, I'm going to the store to pick up my copy of WotLK. After that though, I'm doing exactly the same two things I do every Thursday: going to the gym in the (late) morning, going to my psychoanalysis session in the (early) afternoon...
HOWEVER, everything beside those it's definitely WoW time.
