yep! played as a teenager and have been impressed by DDO. it's a fun, highly underrated game that had a bad launch period and has more than overcome that.

I played D&D when I was a teenager, but although I'm an avid computer gamer, I now live in a different country and my D&D mates are no longer around. So I'd love to try online D&D. DDO looks pretty interesting!

I still remember making my very first red-box character. I had just finished reading the Sanctuary series, and Shadowspawn was thus my very first character. Very fun.

I played some tabletop D&D when I was younger... but mostly it was just some friends getting together, looking through the books and making ridiculous characters.

I payed tabletop D&D starting in the early 80's and up through Forgotten Realms which remains my favorite campaigne to date. I played all of the old gold box D&D CRPG's and loved them. I have also played BG. BG2, PlaneScape Torment, IWD, NWN, etc...
I tried DDO once before for a very short time and have just returned with a promise to give Eberron a fair chance. I have a really hard time adjusting away from teh FR world, but I am seriously going to give it a shot this time. Whether I win game time or not, I can't wait to explore this new world and look forward to diving head first into the content additions that I know Turbine does better than anyone else out there (big AC1 junkie here :) ).

I first started playing D&D at 3.0 on tabletop, but I've also played DDO, the Baldur's Gate/NWN games, and some of the console D&D games.

My friends and I used to play tabletop D&D (3.5) nearly every weekend while in high school. I beta tested DDO, but never played the game outside of that.
Baldur's Gate was a good game based around the d20 rules, as was The Temple of Elemental Evil.

Wounder if they plan on adding 1/2 orcs ,durids and gnomes.

1/2 orcs, 1/2 elves and druids are all stated to be in development for DDO in addition to raising the level cap to the full lvl 20. Monk class was added earlier this year to expand what was available at launch (Ftr,Rgr,Bar,Pal,Rog,Brd,Clr,Wiz,Sor).
Turbine has gone the way of making (some) Prestige class abilities available as "Enhancements" which are purchased with 4/lvl mini advancement points which can be respecced to try different loadouts.

I play D&D online and love it, so I recently tried pen and paper (4.0). I prefer the MMO, but tabletop is also a lot of fun.
