Red box Basic D&D set started it all for me, followed quickly by AD&D with the orange spine Players Handbook and an old-school DMG . . .

I've been playing since version 1.0, back when your race was your class. Unless you were a human, then your class was your class.

So all elves were essentially fighter/mages and all dwarves were fight/clerics and all halflings were fighter/theives....hey!

I played at camp a few times. I wish I had some people around here to play with.

I have played DDO briefly and have played other tabletop games using some variant of the D20 system, but have not played traditional D&D.

Currently playing a campaign for over 2 years now. About once a month by buddies and I gear up to geek out.

I did play DDO for a while at release, but I wanted to give the game some time to get on its feet. Looks like with the monks added in now, it is time to check it back out!

I've been playing D&D since the 80's when I was in high school. It's the game that started me on my road to roleplaying games, ever since I wound up getting sat at a science lab table in a new school with a guy who had these books with strange monsters in them...

I've played every version of the game since the old Red and Blue boxes of Basic D&D, almost all the computer versions of it and I'm currently enjoying the new changes to DDO.

Played DDO beta, didn't like it, but I have heard they have greatly improved the game since then and I would be interested in checking it out :)

Played DDO for few months at launch. My pally maxed but was useless in the major instances because of a bad choice in his build (before they offered respecs) ... :(

I've played D&D since I was six years old. It gave me nightmares the first time.

I played DDO at launch, and I played the original Red box D&D way back when. I just bought my son his first PnP D&D basic rulebook. D&D FTW!

Tabletop, DDO when it first came out (there wasn't enough to do then, but from what I'm hearing it's greatly improved.) Also Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights and their sequels were favorites of mine.

My older brother actually got me into D&D. We never had much money as kids, so we basically played by what knowledge he had of the game (which sometimes I thought he cheated on haha)
So now, many years later, we still enjoy the game from far away, by playing online (after about 10 years of not knowing where each other were) He loves it, I love it, despite the rampant complaining on the forums, we look at the game in a different light. Of course, we both have "Build Frenzy", and every week we basically have a new character to try out different combo's. My Favorite so far is my Rogue/Wizard, very versatile, can pick locks/traps, and the magic helps when im fighting, or even trying to sneak past enemies. His favorite is the debuff/necro wizard, which is very helpful in groups. Have fun all!

Having been a great fan of Baldur's Gate, I tried DDO: Stormreach, but found it too hard in single play, and didn't much enjoy group play at that time.
Never went back ... but might well give it another chance now :D

It's my understanding that Neverwinter Nights takes place in the DnD universe, and I play both of those! Not too long ago I was gearing up for my first tabletop foray into DnD and was quite excited! We finished character creation, and then... the group fell apart. :/

I've played DDO most recently, and before that I played Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate 2. I played some Neverwinter Nights as well.

I played tabletop D&D, but left it for WoW when it got too hard to get players together regularly.
