I started playing tabletop D&D in 1979, and I've played DDO since beta.

I love D&D! I haven't played tabletop since highschool but I still have a lot of great(and nerdy) memories of getting together with friends for all night basement adventures and being loaded on mountain dew :)

I dabbled with tabletop D&D in grade school (late 70's - early 80's) and have not been back since.

I was into 3/3.5E a good bit, but have yet to try 4E. My three shelves of third edition books warns me off the idea.
As far as DDO goes, I tried it in the beta back in 2006 and was very disappointed. Then earlier this year I gave the free trial a whirl and was quite impressed by the changes, enough so to pick up the retail box (which is insanely cheap, btw) and subscribe for a few months.
It may not have sold well enough to get expansion packs, and Atari may doggedly refuse to market it, but Turbine has continued to put out regular updates of considerable quality for free. They've really listened to feedback and turned the game into something special.

You bet, though I haven't played pencil-and-paper D&D in years (no friends who play anymore). I do play virtually all of the D&D PC games that come out, and I've dabbled with DDO.

DDO is an excellent game, far better than it was at release. The combat and dungeon design is outstanding. My only grip is that there isn't a large "world" to explore outside of instances. I hope that will change. Looking forward to trying out the new henchman feature as well.

I was originally all about tabletop. I started playing when I was about 12. Then I switched to Neverwinter Nights around 14. It's way easier to get in touch with your friends and play online.

I "played" D&D as a kid, but it was always just my friends brother taking out his dislike for me by making stupid campaigns where I'd die immediately.

I played the tabletop D&D in college. I loved it! My roomates dragged me into the game which I am grateful for.
I beta tested the DDO game. I hear it is a better game these days. I just might fire it up.

Long-time D&D player here, from the White Box (OD&D) to 4e -- and still playing!
On PCs: the "Gold Box" series, Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, Planescape:Torment, Neverwinter Nights are all great too.
I've only played the free trial of DDO, long ago, but would like to try it again -- especially if I won!

Yep, definitely have played the good 'ol tabletop version. I've got a few sets of dice laying around here, I preferred the frosted white ones.
Oh, also played NwN and a few other games, don't really remember for sure.

I've played pen and paper D&D for about 20 years and tried DDO when it was released. I've been toying with the idea of giving it another go.
