The Massively giveaway week extravaganza rolls on! Today it's all about our friends over at Sony Online Entertainment. That's right, today is a giveaway day entirely devoted to SOE games and the gamers that love them. We'll kick things off with the brand-new expansion for the game that started it all: EverQuest. The Seeds of Destruction expansion only launched just a precious few weeks ago, but the addition of NPC allies to the game has come with enormous positive feedback from the community. New dungeons, more levels, and even more content for players to explore makes this easily the best-recieved new EQ pack since the days of The Serpent's Spine. We have ten of these fantastic expansions to hand out, and they each go for about $40, making total retail value of this giveaway about $400.
All you have to do to enter is leave a comment on this post telling us what your favorite EverQuest zone is! Remember, the new expansions come with all the old ones packaged in. Even if you haven't played in a while you'll be getting the whole experience with this new content. To get it you'll need to comment before 7:00 AM EST Friday, November 7th. You can only enter once per person, and after the contest closes we'll ship out these fantastic prizes to 10 randomly-selected winners. Give us at least a week to ship out this massive pile of swag, though. To win you must be age 18 or up and a resident of the US or Canada (excluding Quebec). For full eligibility details, we suggest you read our official rules. Good luck!

My favourite Everquest zone has to be Crushbone.
It was the first ‘group zone’ a buddy showed me when I was first introduced to the game. It was exciting learning the game and feeling a sense of accomplishment as our group moved into the Throne Room for the first time (or the sheer horror that we felt when we realized we were in over our heads). It was a great experience being introduced to this game; the sense of wonder and dread – the excitement and exploration. It’s something that has not been matched since.

One of my favorite zones is Loping Planes. I know this is a fairly new zone, but it has great dynamic. LP offers a little of something for everyone you have undead, live, and animal NPCs. It is very rare to go to this zone and not find it busy. The smaller clusters of mobs have enabled soloing as well as grouping. I have seen druids kiting gators, enchanters charm killing wereorcs, necromancers quading worgs. In my opinion I have found a busy zone to be more fun than an empty one. This zone also features the new area graphics, though for some it causes lag, it's nice to see the flow of the water and the clarity of the open night sky. During times of day you find can fog rolling off of hills that remind me of golden fields of wheat. If you stop and look you can see the breeze blowing through the new filled-out trees and even through the small bushes about. Just as a reminder though mind the cliffs there a killer without lev or taking the ramp.

My favorite zone is probably Velektor's Labyrinth, i spend most of my lvls from 50 to 60 there and i never got tired of it. Lots of fun especially when you move to the castle or the basement.

My personal favorite zone was actually Frontier Mountains. This is where I got invited to my first guild with my still main character today back in 2003. We had a lot of fun times killing giants at the giant fort there back in the day. That zone still brings back tons of memories. I'll even whack at a few giants while I run through there. =)

My favorite zone: Thurgadin
It was the first city in EQ that actually felt alive. NPCs moving about, talking to each other doing things with quests and a faction that made you actually want to work for the little guys.
