If you've been following along with our coverage of Masthead Studios' Earthrise, you may be pleased to hear that the post-apocalyptic MMO will be entering "closed, limited beta" by the end of the year. That gives us a time frame of just under two months!
What do they still need to tweak before the beta launches? According to the most recent newsletter, they're integrating features and working on the RPG system, PhysX, improved character control and collision detection, implemented game UI with complete functionality, performance and hardware information gathering, logs and reports. Check out the entire Issue 6 of the Earthrise newsletter for even more information.

That's interesting and all, but with it running Physx and if the screenshots from before hold up to being what the finished product is, what's the system req's going to be? I mean, this seems like it's going to have that equal to Crysis or above AoC to need to run. Just the same, it's a Sci-Fi MMO, and those don't really do all that well in the genre, especilly for most people who will be just waiting for The Old Republic Online because of the familiarity.

I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i can t wait until it hits beta. if it turns out to be what MH is planning this is realy going to be incredible. Mr.Pickles, from what they say the system reqsa arent going to be that bad. if you can run crysis or AoC you should be fine.
