Mythic is out there, listening, watching and waiting for you to ... give them some feedback! They've just pushed some new changes onto the live Warhammer Online servers in response to player feedback and are calling them Phase IV Experience Enhancements. What are they? Well, glad you asked. Two things have been tweaked: renown gain for healing has been increased yet again and capturing an enemy battlefield objective now rewards players with experience. It's only two tweaks, but it says a lot for how fast Mythic is to respond to feedback, given that they had increased renown for healing in yesterday's 1.0.4 patch.

You've hit the nail on the head! I don't mind a lack of official forums because Mythic is making better use of the network of unofficial forums (reading suggestions and complaints, gauging fan sentiment, and having a strong presence) than most MMOs manage to do with their official forums. Their customer relations team is fantastic, and they clearly have some kind of process for fast-tracking common complaints and bugs to be fixed.
If it was a case of "Mythic doesn't want to talk to its fans," I could understand the hue and cry for official forums; people would want a sign that Mythic cares at all about them. But since they've clearly got their ear to the unofficial (but officially recognized and linked from their website) fan forums, I just don't see the appeal of official ones.
