The last time I logged on to WoW I had a mission and that was to work on my quests. Since I'm not a level 70 I'm still having fun doing the quests and exploring the world. I have no problem with becoming a zombie for a while. I even took up the cause to zombify some NPC's and even other players until that level 70 player killed me. (Shot me in the back the coward!) Anyway, I was done being a zombie for a while because I wanted to get back on to my quests so after resurrecting I returned to the city to catch the flight path when I was turned into a zombie again. I blew myself up and then returned to the city again and I was turned into a zombie again. I became tired of trying to catch the flight path so I ended up running to the next city to catch it's flight path.

I guess my gripe is that I'm somewhat forced to carry around a bunch of stuff that I want to auction off or put in my bank because I can't reach the AH or bank without becoming a zombie. It's not a big deal, it's just annoying.

I agree with Drenski and several other points of view. I like to think change is good for some but not for all. I to ran into this same issue as many of us did. If you are a lowbie and you have just started to play this wonderful game it has become frustrating because of the time constraints. Especially if there is little time left for you to get your mount and get to lvl 55 to get a lvl 55 Deathnight. So as you are Questing and trying to lvl up as well as having fun with the whole Zombification from the World Changing it can be a bit overwhelming to those of us who just started...but it is still the best game...after all we could be playing that other MP Online game Two Worlds LMAO.

I spent all of this past Sunday running around IF dispelling the infected and "protecting" the city. We made a guild event of it and even brought other guildies to kill off the Zombies. We had so many turn out we converted to a raid and were marking repeated offenders and following them through the city. It ended up being a blast. But we repeated (empty) threats to report us for "ruining the Zombie fun" in the way the Zombies were "ruining the lowbie fun." I hated the whole Zombie event, but atleast blizzard did allow us to fight back. What bothered me the most was the bully mentality from alot of the Zombies and the responses we received from them for looking out for our towns. Both sides were just enjoying the plague in their own ways...

This version of the Scourge Invasion is 10x better than the effort they previously launched when Naxx was introduced.

Kudos to Blizzard and the world design team behind this effort!

Obviously the people who are bitching now, weren't playing the game when they introduced Corrupted Blood..

But I'm just having fun taking out my rage of the incoming 3.0.2 ret pally nerf on the other players. rawr!

I thought what Blizzard had done was a work of genius, they basically turned griefing into a world event. Note that this isn't a whine against the concept, far from it, it definitely was a stroke of genius from Blizzard. The one thing that ruined it for me, was the fact that Blizz seemed to forget to take into account Shattrath City's "Sanctuary" status, and it was therefore impossible to take action against player zombies in that city. I didn't personally mind the griefing in Ironforge, Stormwind etc, as a level 70 Tier 6 frost mage I could defend myself from any zombies with relative ease. In Shattrath however, it was a completely different ballgame. The zombies had free reign and there was nothing anyone could do to fight them off except mop up their neverending supply of plague zombie converts from the masses of npcs there. Blizz totally dropped the ball on that one. Other than that, it was a great event in my opinion.

Surely making all zombies the same level once turned would have made it fun for lowbies too?

Simple fix and everyone can kill stuff. Towards the end even a 75elite was easy to turn if you had enough people hitting it because the timer was reduced each hit.

I thought this event was very fun. The idea that the scourge is raising again is very cool, especially since its re-introducing Arthus to warcraft fans. I read in an interview that blizzard wanted the player to feel the presents of Arthus in the new expansion right from the start and thanks to this event, we have had a small taster. Yes there are a lot of D*cks playing wow, (lv70 gankers and so on) but there is always the ignore feature. If someone is annoying you add em to the ignore list n hay presto! don't blame the event, cuz are making the most of it.

I didn't have that much of a problem with the event as a concept, however when auction houses, battlemasters and flight paths were being disrupted it got a bit ridiculous. I play a mage so i could just port somewhere not affected, but I can't imagine how annoying it must've been for someone who doesn't have that luxury. The major beef i had with it was being in Shatt and not being able to kill alliance zombies, but watch helplessly as they were able to infect me with their AoE attack...That was just retarded.

Blizzard made a fantastic world event, probably their best ever, made a huge effort to break up the monotony of an unchanging world, in a time where it would not majorly effect anyone - and all some people can do is whine.

I'm only going to say this once, so listen carefully, please.

For the first time in four years, World of WARcraft really felt like we had a WAR going on.

In a serious war, people get killed, services get disrupted, flights get grounded.... if you don't want a changing world, play a single-player game.

This was their best event ever... please don't ruin the chance of cool things like this happening again. Maybe it could have been different - but they really tried, and we learn from our mistakes.

I agree, if they learn that having the event happening inside of towns and around established areas is a big mistake I'm all for it. In the future make sure that zombies can only effect people of higher level and are attacked immediately by all guards in the area. Also make sure guards, flight masters and quest NPC's are immune so that people not interested in the event aren't effected.

The worst thing you can do is annoy a customer with something that they have no control over. It's a sure fire way of telling them you don't want their patronage.

If Blizzard moves this to the PVP areas and away from the quest areas I'm cool with it.
