Yeah, that really surprised me. I lost $5 on a bet that it would be six to eight months before we saw a Destruction population bonus! I thought the guy who picked zero to three months was crazy, but now he's the one laughing...

This is the lazy man's way to correct the problem and I think giving advantage to one side over the other is never the answer. This additional experience is basically only being given to people who jump to the other side and do Scenarios..... Scenarios are killing this MMO. Everyone is off in instances doing PVP and the few remaining people are trying to find something..ANYTHING...to like in this MMO.

Open servers now for free transfers and most the problems will be solved. Order is boring...character models are boring...the starting areas are boring and no one wants to play them....period. That won't be solved by giving more experience. Warhammer gave more time and care to Destruction...its SO obvious if you play each side...which I have....sad that they think this experience boost will cover up their lazy game design.

I don't think it is that bad. WAR is turning out to be pretty fun in my book.

I do agree that Scenarios are so easy to get into, that is where you tend to find all the players. The other reason Scenarios are so popular, is that it is rather time consuming to get to some flight paths - so it feels like it takes forever to find the lake that has the action in it.

Yet, it is better than WoW where I would log in and wait up to 2 hours before I either found a PuG or the Raid finally got going. That game can sometimes be soooooo dull waiting to find a group.

I just wish there were more people in the lands of WAR doing PQs. I find that in almost every zone there might be 1-2 groups in a PQ and they are often 2 people, maybe 3 just farming the first part. Not even bothering to complete it. During the beta, it really seemed as though you could find tons of PQs busy. I don't play all the time, so I am a little behind the curve, only level 25, but still. I see plenty of people my level in the world yet almost no one in the PQs.

@John

It's not "obvious" that Mythic cared more for destruction, what they cared about was keeping a true representation of GW's lore. These are what the pieces look like, if you think the Destro one's look cooler, take that up with GW, not Mythic. I also think it's extremely rediculous for you to suggest that "no one" wants to play Order starting areas, I actually found both the Empire and Dwarf (Dwarf in particular) starting areas to be really cool, and the game IS balancing out. You don't like the game, that's cool, but stop spouting your false assumptions about why this game isn't whatever it is you think it should be.

Bullshit man, I find order a lot more fun to play myself. 35 Black orc and I'm doing a warrior priest now.

Really there is always going to be a side that is favored. Look at WoW, is alliance favored because they have "better" quests? No! They're favored because the majority of the races on their side are better looking, or whatever, than horde.

The 20% bonus of exp, in reality, is not that much. However it does WONDERS for bringing in players to underpopulated servers. Ungrim, the server I now play on (because of the 20% bonus at first) is pretty packed now. Both sides are even for the most part, and I'd consider that a success. When the 20% deal started all the keeps were destruction, and now they're pretty varied.

I do agree more people could be doing PQ's, but luckily I have friends for just that thing.

I've all but given up on this game. I got burned by a guild that taxed the hell out of its members and then it disbanded!

I have been not able to get any good PQ's going either. Quests are good, but I have been on 'hold' for what seems like forever to get into a pvp scenario.

I really liked this game and its potential is great if they could balance all the activity it is supposed to provide (solo quests, public quests, scenarios, RvR's).

I will cancel my subscription, wait a few months and see how it turns out and in the meantime, catch up on my console games, I just got Dead Space and I have a few others I can catch up on while waiting to see how WAR progresses.

According to Mythic's own web site, they will be offering FREE server transfers soon. They will be restricted, however, in attempt to balance the population. You will be able to transfer from a high-pop server to a mid-pop or low-pop or from a low-pop server to a mid-pop.

I also suspect that there will be server merges before the end of this year; specifically when the low-pop servers dip even lower after the free server transfers. I believe Mythic anticipated this and new WoW, LotRO and EQ2 expansions to recapture former players.
