Jebus!

I had no idea there was so much in this release.

Looks like M Linden is enforcing what he has stated before. Very pleasant to see this.

I had to skip like half of the changes so I could stay awake! I have to say, this seams like a perfect balance between features and bug fixes. This is of course all client side, major day to day problems still persist on the grid.

Linden Lab has just restored some confidence in me!

Woo, I say! Woo, and indeed, hoo! I've been using the RC for a while, and there's a ton of good stuff in there. (Some small quirks, sure, but overall full of awesome sauce.) And as a developer working with the source, the new CMake build system is a godsend.

No wonder they didn't mention the new client. It was just too much good stuff to list.

Well, about 22 hours after we published, they finally made the announcement: http://status.secondlifegrid.net/2008/10/17/post289/

Yeah, woooo-hooooo. NOW, if LL made a viewer which actually WORKED, we'd all be pleased as punch. I am a mentor and since the latest release i have gotten more questions and heard of more problems with the viewer than any previous release. Yup, LL has done it again.... only this time they did it in PUBLIC. :-(
