Man, these guys just keep on rollin' with these updates. After the first phase of Mythic's "experience enhancements" players in their 3 and 4 found themselves with an overall improved experience gain in those zones. Now Mythic has taken the next step in phase two by allowing players to receive not only renown, but experience from capturing a keep -- assuming they're the proper,(non-bolstered) level. The Warhammer Online Herald lays out the tier requirements as such, "In Tier 2, players will begin to earn this bonus when they reach rank 15. In Tier 3, the minimum rank required is 25, and in Tier 4 it is 35. Players will notice a diminishing return from keep captures if their level approaches the top of that tier." All in all, it seems like Mythic has put some serious thought into this decision.
We're happy to see them giving players more reason to participate in open world RvR earlier in the game. Scenarios are fun and all, but there's definitely something to be said about some good old keep capturing.

There's something wonky about your reporting schedule. This change happened yesterday, yet you reported on it after reporting on today's patch...
Anyway, it's a step in the right direction but still too low. But at least they're working on it.

I suspect Mythic keeps boosting the XP gains in the RvR "lakes" to encourage people to go there instead of just grinding away in instanced scenarios. Personally, I prefer impromptu skirmishes in non-instanced zones but those are few and far between (even on an OpenRvR server!) aside from the occasional keep assault/defense -- and I (still) consider myself a carebear!
I feel the XP/Reknown gains from instanced scenarios should diminish over time to discourage people from staying in them the entire day. Maybe there should be *another* Rested XP Bonus bar that is only consumed when in a scenario? When the Rested (Scenario) XP bonus bar is gone you can still do scenarios, of course, but without an XP bonus. The XP/Reknown gain from scenarios would have to be lowered too so the combined (normal+bonus) XP would be the same as it is today.

I'd rather them just make it so that open RvR has it's own advantages for XP. The great thing about WAR is it is all about choice. I don't HAVE to go out and grind mobs to level. I don't HAVE to do PvP to level. I can do what I want to do.
I'd like to see (no idea what it is atm though) the keep sieges be a bit higher XP than what one would get for completing a scenario. Likewise give the battlefield objectives an XP bonus as well, although smaller.

Anyone have any hard numbers on the amount of XP it's granting?

So if you're levels 12-14 you're just SOL for earning that experience in tier 2, and 22-24 in tier 3?
Any reasoning behind that?

Maybe they're thinking that if you're level 14 or lower and assaulting a T2 Keep you're, probably, not contributing much while fighting the lord, a level 22 Hero, unless you are a healer.
I agree with you that everyone in the tier should earn the bonus XP to encourage them to participate.

That picture is you used is stupid. It looks like something an idiot would make in ms paint.
PS, this Warhammer game you made is lame. I played it last year and it sucked, I bet it still sucks now, why can't you make a game that doesn't suck?

Or layer styles, for that matter.
I've captured 2-3 keeps since the update and have seen a VERY nominal amount of xp from sieging, whatever they added its still nowhere near enough. I'd guess anywhere in between 2 to 3k xp, at lvl 27. (Sorry I dont have hard numbers, I keep forgetting to check after all the excitement has worn down.)
If they want to make openRVR and sieging a good source of xp and renown, it still needs to be buffed further. I also believe restricting what little xp you give to half the lvl range of a tier is a stupid idea, I have 10 levels to get xp from scenarios, but only 5 in sieging? That doesnt make sense to me.
