WoW's pre-Wrath patch still keeping servers down

Despite hopes that Blizzard would be able to bring servers back up promptly after the enormous patch 3.0.2, reality has proven that a bit of a false hope. As of 9:20pm EST, many - if not most - of the World of Warcraft servers are still down.

Massively's sister site WoW Insider has been following the issue, and notes "this target has been pushed back three times since being originally set for 2 PM PST/5 PM EST today, so I wouldn't count on being able to play any time tonight necessarily. And when the realms do come up, I wouldn't expect them to be super-stable; the few realms that are up right now are having all manner of crashes and other difficulties."

Yea... those servers that are "up" aren't stable either. They're buggy and they keep kicking you off.

It's a disaster... and that on top of pushing old code to the live servers instead of the most recent PTR build we all tested (http://www.wowinsider.com/2008/10/14/breaking-news-patch-3-0-2-will-not-contain-all-major-class-chan/)

Ya, all my servers are down, 6 hours after maintenance ended. So no playing today,

Guess ill log into tomorrow. =/

Exactly my thought this morning...

I managed to log in and see the changes but after seeing the changes they did to my Pally and various other changes I feel like I don't want to come back anymore.

My brother just showed me some kid on youtube really spazzing over the outage.

I was really taken aback by this video, seeing people like this still in society and not in an institution under observation was unsettling, the threats made also raised an eyebrow.

It is these types of people that will kill for insane reasons, such as the video showed during the outage.

Was it that video of the german kid that's been around for like...5 years? XD Throwing his mouse and screaming and stuff? That video was part of a documentary about mentally disturbed children but it's all over youtube as some kid who's pissed off over wow or guild wars or AOC or WAR... >.>

Mythic has a mole working at Blizzard, apparently.

Game was up and stable this morning when I logged in! for the people that sat on their computers all night....uh... ... It was a 1.5g patch. Did you THINK it would be stable on live servers?

not the german kid, this was a brand new one for the just released patch, even threatened Tigole (dev?) . the overweight kid was rocking back and forth on his bed or chair or sofa and just having a meltdown he couldnt play, really sad, but hilarious to watch.
