At first thought, a Rock Band-inspired MMO may not sound like the greatest idea to everyone. I've actually entertained the idea for a long time now, only shove it aside as a crazy notion. But the thing kept popping back into the forefront of my mind so often that I couldn't discount it as happenstance. I've become enamored with the idea, because let's face it; a Rock Band MMO has the potential to ooze- no, to gush pure liquid awesome.

1.) Gallery articles somehow manage to turn a handful of paragraphs into tl;dr. Nobody wants to click through that crap, and the photos don't on most of these don't illustrate crap.
Look, you want me to click a link several times so you get the pageviews? Put it in a pop-up window. If I'm bored enough to read this, then I'm certainly bored enough to help with straight-up click fraud while I actually read the story.
2.) Rock Band 2 already is an MMO. There's an LFG system, standing and weekly quests, PvP, rewards - they're so far ahead of the curve, they even have microtransaction DLC.
Christ, they even caught up to WoW in the print-a-useless-3D-figure-of-your-toon department.
You just want to add travel time and fantasy RPG elements to it, and it simply doesn't need it.

Actually, I'm completely against adding travel time. And while you're right that Rock Band 2 possess a lot of MMO-like features, it's still an overall locally-social experience.
You are right about me wanting to add the fantasy elements. I'm just tired of the same old approach and would love for someone to try something a little more inspired.
