- A few Magus abilities were adversely affecting friendly players. These have been fixed.
- Lady Kreuger now has the top of her head back.
- Amethyst Wizards will no longer spawn naked.
- Fixed a terrain exploit in the Phoenix Gate scenario.
- Adjusted loot drops for some monsters that were dropping items of the incorrect level.
- Corrected an issue that was improperly buffing players on Open RvR servers with the "Bolster" buff used on Core ruleset servers.
The first week of Warhammer Online patches and hotfixes
Fantasy, New titles, Patches, Warhammer Online

As we reported the other day, the first week of Warhammer Online's live service was filled with hotfixes and minor patches. On Friday the WAR Herald looked back at the first week of these patches to ensure that players are kept up-to-date on how the game is changing. It's encouraging to see that the company is on top of issues like the disappearing weapons, monsters spawning in the cities, and other serious issues. Here are some of the more interesting notes:

To quote Mythic on their fixes "this fixes a problem a small number of players have reported"...that's the problem...most the fixes are for tiny, insignificant problems. Public quests are abandoned, RVR is completely unbalanced and unplayable unless you're a melee player....
sad but at least we have Spellborn and Lich King to move on to....cya Warhammer

I have to say, I'm fairly disappointed with Warhammer Online.. I don't even find myself logging in to just kick about and do nothing, like I did with Warcraft when I got bored of it.. mostly because the game was easily played in a window without hogging up too many resources, while Warhammer eats up my resources like a monster if I attempt to do anything but play it.
Anyhoo.. my qualms are growing day by day..
1) The Realm WAR reward tipped the scales for me, and I'm quitting the game because of it. Giving all Destruction a Tier 2 city, even though they outnumber Order almost 3-to-1? Yeah.. that's smart. Why don't you destroy your own servers even MORE?
2) This game has a layer of this-is-not-finished lack of polish to it. The animations are either dreary stock or stiff (god that White Lion tail gets to me something fierce..), the quests are inconsistent and sometimes annoyingly vague (search A GIANT FOREST for a small box!), the public quests are much the same in terms of inconsistency.
3) The realms, as mentioned in point 1, are just so unbalanced. I don't buy their junk about it the influx of Destruction being "temporary"; they don't seem to realize that Destruction has VASTLY higher quality content than Order. The Inevitable City is insanely less cluttered and much less laggy than Altdorf, greenskins, chaos and dark elves are much more popular than dwarves, humans and high elves, and have better animations (seriously, dwarves are an ass-ugly source of fantasy; they're a niche like), the quests are more fun on Destruction (high elf vs. dark elves is a big example of this.. heck, all of the pairings are good examples of this).
4) The lack of forums is crushingly depressing to me. I want to voice my concerns for the game, I want to share my opinions with others, I want to form a big community with my fellow WAR players.. but no, I have to go to sites like this (no offense, Massively.com) or Ten Ton Hammer to voice my opinions in a discussion environment, where the chances of it being read are slim to none.
5) The foundation is sound.. the implementation is poor. It's like living in an elaborate mansion made of straw, for lack of a better analogy. There's so much potential, but now the developers seem to be just.. I don't know, really. They're insane, they're living in their own bubble, they think there's nothing wrong. I want this game to be popular and successful, but it's like they don't.

The lack of forums is the best move they've ever made. Visiting WoW's forums is an exercise in futility unless you're a troll or a whiner. It's useless for your average player and it has to be an administrative nightmare for Blizzard.
As for the rest of the negative comments, I'm not seeing it. I'm having a great time and I'm not getting bored. Public quests haven't been a problem. Scenarios are fun and balanced across factions. Everything seems to be good so far. I think people really do miss the bitchfest of the forums and have to move it elsewhere to satisfy some strange urge.

My only issue with the game is the resource usage. The hotfixes have made the lock up on respawns even worse. I have to exit out of the game and reboot every couple hours otherwise it drives my computer into the ground.
Other than that some of the queue times is silly. I tried to log in earlier on my primary server and it was 80 min wait to get it.

Dude...the game has been out to the masses for 1 WEEK.
It takes a while for them to get their shit together. Not even your precious WoW was 100% by this time.
MMO's need a few months to mature. The game are so but that they need all these players playing and reporting bugs in order to fix them. Its just not possible to get all this stuff fixed in beta.
That being said, I think WAR had probably the smoothest launch I've ever seen. I've been enjoying the fun parts, and ignoring things that are messed up at the moment.

Gunbad tenticles were dropping 2 lvl 30 blue drops every kill, my guild farmed them one night and got about 100 or so drops but didn't do it any more after that night. Went in last night and it was fixed lol. Least we got some of the loot while we could.

Ok first off, wow has been out for like 5 years now. It takes them a retardedly long time to release expansions and such beacuse they wait untill people lose intrest to spark it agian so they can keep profits up instead of keeping players contempt.
I loved wow and after selling my account waiting for the ?? release date. i found this game and am extremly happy. yes spellcasters and such get crushed in pvp. but tell me in wow if your mage went agianst a rogue face to face who always won?? hmmmmmm.
This game is sick as a mother, i am extremly happy with this game and even though i may still go buy wow agian. this will be a very tuff call deciding wich one to pay every month. Heres a good point i learned with AOC if you do nothing but complain about the game dont play it, find something else. :) enjoy the pwn
