ScytheNoire said, "Order has more OP'd classes, and this has been well documented.

Not only that, but Order wins a lot more in RvR than Destruction."

I would guess that the documentation you are referring to are opinions on forums and not true factual documentation. Each side has similar classes that are mirrors of each other with a few unique abilities.

As already mentioned by another, Sorcs and Bright Wizards get similar abilities.

I have played an IB and a Rune Priest. I wouldn't call my RP overpowered when she dies so very easily. IBs are tough but that can be said for any properly equipped tank; Order or Destruction. My Swordmaster was solo'ing 20s at level 15. I'm sure Black Orcs and Chosen can do this as well with similar gear. Gear is where the distinction lies. I see many people equipping tanks with DPS gear, severally limiting their tanking ability. While tanks with real tanking gear are -very- difficult to take down.

It sounds like most of your issues are player based, whether your play style or the style of players you are teamed with/scenarioed with.

As to Order being overpowered and winning more in RVR, that statement is purely based on the server you play on. On Ungrim, Destro controls T1, T2 and T3 in Dwarf, Elf and Human areas. Forming a Warband to control one keep long enough to buy Renown gear upgrades isn't easy and doesn't happen with an frequency.

If you think it's bad now?

Just wait until Mythic adds Vampire and Skaven classes to the Destruction side...

I think it's more the types of players. WAR is much more demanding of computer hardware so I think it tends to select for more serious gamers, and they prefer playing the bad guys (much higher concentration of 15-30 single males basically). Casual WoW players who didn't buy $250 videocards to get an extra 3 fps can't play WAR even if they want to. You might see more as people upgrade, but remember, the casual gamer population is also much less likely to shell out $400-500 in upgrades to play one game than the hardcores are. I suspect they'll be more likely to wait for Lich King and save their gold, especially with the bad economic news lately.

I don't get the "Horde are evil" thing at all. The undead are, but the rest are just ugly. I mean, how many people want to play as walking cows? Or in the orc's case, how many shades of GREEN are there?

Some of you seem to be forgetting that now that there are blood elves, the tide has turned and horde tend to lose a lot of pvp.

As far as Destuction goes, hey man, who do you wanna play as, Aragorn or Darth Vader? Playing bad is all about being a Darth Vader or a Joker. They're the ones to watch. I'm Order, tho, and sticking with it!

Funny how Order people say that Destruction is OP, but never give any hints as to why they think so... apparently everyone is just supposed to take them at their word. On the other hand, it's pretty easy to see that RP's and BW's are quite OP atm, just look at the scoreboard. AoE specced BW's are generally doing 2-3x as much dmg as anyone else, especially on certain maps. Even though my DoK buddy is topping the healing meters on Destro, he's getting beaten by every RP by again, 2-3x as much healing.

Order also has a ton more knock backs (like, knocking people into lava, that's always fun), and then there's the good ol' Pounce ability White Lions get. Doesn't mean Destruction can't win, but as far as pure group makeup based on spells/abilities alone and ignoring player skill, Order > Destro atm.

Also, if Destro has most of the keeps on your server... is that because they outnumber you by quite a lot, or maybe because everyone defending the keep is lvl 20 and Destro comes with just as many 30's? There's a lot of reasons behind why Destro might hold more keeps other than a blind accusation that they're OP.

I dunno what server you play on, but I seem to get repeatedly rolled by destruction in RVR scenarios. We win, i wont deny it, but I'm very sure I've lost more scenarios than I've won.

As far as A RP out healing a DoK, well duh? An RP is a straight up healer. As a WP, I dont expect to outheal a RP that is ding his job. People crying QQ on OP for RP's and BW's I'll agree are somewhat correct, RP's are nowhere NEAR impossible to kill, a DPS class makes short work of an RP, trust me. Dont blame Order for the lack of insight on your teams part not to go after healers. As other commenters have shown, BW's are very close to a 1:1 for Sorceress, so I think thats a moot point to be honest.

I do believe however that Destruction is a little snare happy in T1 and T2. I didnt get any sort of ant-snare ability till lvl 16, and it only works on Sorc and Magus snares, not the Squig Herder roots or the stupid slowing effects the Chosen and Maurauders have. That, above anything else, is my biggest complaint about Destro in RVR. The snares are incredibly frustrating.
