I always figured titans should have been alliance-level mobile space stations rather than frontline fleet warfare ships. The jump portal is really pushing it but the doomsday device is just silly.

It's interesting to note that CCP originally said the cost of building a titan would be prohibitively expensive to prevent exactly what has occured here. They have been proven wrong on that count, unfortunately. There are now over 81 confirmed live titans.
