I think it would be a brave decision to have almost every act judged and then permanently alter your character's standing in the world, I don't think having that exclude you from certain activities is a bad thing. I have never liked the idea, for example in WoW, or FFXI or similar that you have to make all content available to everyone, so even if you wreck your reputation with a faction you can still redeem yourself. I would say that's the territory of alts, and you actively have to behave differently with your characters to achieve that.

Have every quest give rep with certain factions and remove it from others, have thresholds within those factions to exclude you from them at a certain point, of course then open up other doors, in Kotoro if you drift too far to the dark side new quests and factions will expose themselves to you but if you go too far, even if you save yourself and switch back to the light side the Jedi order should ignore you utterly, and while they won't try to kill you, as you were when you were a Dark Jedi they can not trust you enough. Of course you could then open up splinter groups who actively recruit people who have come back from the dark side, groups not open to players playing normal Jedi.

Also quests with multiple ways of doing it, with an obvious this is "Good" this is "Evil", for those attempting one extreme or the other, but also a lot of grey routes through for those wanting a more organic experience, so they can never been 100% sure which direction they are going.

The Austin BioWare team is not really composed of the same developers that brought you some of Bioware's brilliant RPG's.

The product they are working on will be "KOTOR Online, brought to you by the makers of Shadowbane and Star Wars Galaxies".

While the Republic may have isued kill on sight orders to their troops, you could probably find some officials that with a good bribe will look the other way while you sneak into Republic teritory, and which Hutt wouldn't be interested in a good peace offering. For example the dead body of someone they hate even more than you.
And just because every mmo so far have respawned npc's after a few minutes later doesnt mean kotoro will.

I really don't care about moral choices in videogames in general, anymore. I prefer to play characters in the shades of grey, but these games never cater specifically to that sect of alignment.

BTW, please let there be Force Adepts in KotOR Online. Jedis are becoming over-rated, and they are too "goody-goody" for me. Vice versa with Dark Jedi/Sith.
