This is probably a hot topic of discussion with EVE veteran players, seeing as they've done just fine in the game without ambulation up to this point. But for me, the immersion was a problem, and lack of an avatar made it feel like too much of a "spreadsheet" game.

I will be open minded and try EVE again once ambulation is live, in hopes that it fills in that immersion gap I seemed to be missing. Though, I think I'll still do better with a 'dogfighting' space game. I always was a fan of the old X-wing games.
