See ... this is why they need to keep open communications and keep us residents "in-the-know". I had no clue about what the delay was until I read about it here. I'm there connecting to the main grid with the beta client for the past few days making mono scripts and oblivious to any problems that are happening. I don't see why they can't at least post a few critical status updates while the communications policy is being rehashed for ... (oh god, over a month??!?) This had better be some really nice communications upgrades as a result. I don't want to see a few bells, whistles, and fireworks. If I see any blinking text or marquees, I'll go crazy.

There's a nice long forum thread on the SL Forums all about this. Up-to-the-minute (more or less) updates on the entire roll-out. Granted, it isn't a blog post, but it's there.
