I'd say there's actually tons of story to adapt. Even from a player's perspective, how many movies are there about random joes going through hardships and saving the day?

I think the main problem for a game movie is the same problem movies like the last few Star Wars movies had to deal with, these are cherished materials, you have to get it right. Still going to make the moneys though.

AoC has it easier as they can just tie into something that exists already, altough on their side they of course already had to take liberties.

I think you're forgetting that WoW has heaps upon heaps of lore backing it. In which the right hands can craft a finely tuned story to tie into a movie. Also, lets not forget that there are three games previous to WoW and the story behind these games are large enough in themselves to be their own movies.

I really liked Resident Evil. :( The first one, at least.

If MMOs make trailers and cutscenes, surely they can make a 2 hour film. I would definitely see a Guild Wars movie.
