I had several email conversations with this young lady while she was at mmorpg.com, she was a jem :) Always upbeat and positive.

Will miss her, a sad loss for the MMORPG community.

Thank you for pointing this out. MMORPG.com has set up a memorial page for Laura Genender, and is observing a day of silence. The link is now found in the post above, but here is where to view the memorial:

She was an incredibly young person, only 24. What happened to her? Does anyone know?

Dear Friends of Laura,

We have created a permanent memorial Web page dedicated to Laura, which includes several of her dance videos and photos (she loved to dance), at:

http://www.cs.virginia.edu/robins/Laura

We also posted these videos to YouTube, so that Laura's online gaming fans from across the world can see them also. (Please feel free to pass this Web page address above to others.)

If anybody else has any other good videos or photos of Laura, please Email me (robins@cs.virginia.edu) and I'll add them to her memorial Web page.

Thanks,

Gabriel Robins
