Most trolls are 'posting their opinions on a blog'. That doesn't mean it's not trolling. You're clearly being over the top provocative in your comments of the game, in a way that will inevitably grate on the people who like it. That's called 'trolling'.

You really posted a new york times article about trolling? Really?

My posts have gone right along with the subject matter at hand, and that is Funcom messing up a loot table. I have not posted anything that was anymore inflammatory then the actual blog post and I'm sorry you feel as if I have hurt you in some way or form.

But no, clearly all these posts should be shining examples on how "awesome" the game is, and how I only crashed once every hour and a half today instead of every hour -- so obviously the game is doing better, right?

Don't read a blog post and the comments about something overly negative and then expect the comments to be nothing but a bunch of people white knighting a dying game.

For the record Funcom should really fire Garot (IIRC) from their team. He fucked up Anarchy Online hardcore with shadowbanes and with his hands on Age of Conan the game can honestly go no where.

I wanted to comment and say the post image is awesome. Nice work lol.

Also, at the end of the day, more people have commented on this entry than the last several. They got people talking here, for better or worse. I can't see Massively or AOL deciding to stop talking about this game when it's arguably the most popular on on here in terms of traffic and commenter interest lol.

We're talking about a company here. Ad impressions are important.

You put that together.

Psst, see the up (green) down (red) and stars? Y'all can vote them up or down. We moderate very, very little here.

That said, we're not going to stop reporting on changes and news because some people don't enjoy a game. That would be extremely silly and there wouldn't be much point in the site overall if we did so.

They still will not update the barbarian's DPS. It has dropped under 30% and no one is doing anything about it. Read our petition:

http://forums.ageofconan.com/showthread.php?t=148514

If you can post on the forum, please sign it. Almost half of the people that found out they nerfed the barbarian's dps have cancelled. Stupid funcom will NEVER listen to the customers...

I think all of you here are a little misguided about the MMOs on the back-end. You have to grow up a little and understand what is involved in making a MMO. For investors, 5 years of development means no revenue! They only care about money and not your stupid game. The suits upstairs are pushing! ALL of MMOs will come out in beta state simply because of deadlines and pressure from investors. Then while it is out and generating money you can take you time in finishing it and balancing it. Again this will happen to EVERY MMO! Best is not to jump in until year later or be an adult and understand that when you get into an MMO when it first come out you are playing BETA.

My best moment in AoC was when I clicked the submit button to cancel
my subscription.

It was fun until 20, Mildly entertaining until 40, and completely
boring after that.

-The game is garbage-

Why are you still playing then?

@The Article: That image is priceless.

@All the Commenters: If you don't like the game, why the hell do you keep reading it's articles and trolling? I avoid the WoW articles for a reason!

AoC's current subscription base puts it in the top 10 current MMOs, if not the top 5. That's not exactly dead. I'm pretty sure that's the opposite of dead in fact.

And believe it or not, thing with MMOs is, you can always just, you know, come back a few months later when everything is fixed up.
