Great article, makes you want to play EVE! shame its learning curve is so steep or else I'd be playing it right now. :(

The learning curve isn't really that steep, it's a misconception, there's just a really long (and branching) learning curve, but if you concentrate on how to do a few things at a time and really put a week or so into it(to get the basics), it's the most rewarding game out there IMHO.

If you wanna start and need help there's in-game options from other players or hit me up.

Don't be fooled, it is a tough game. The learning curve isn't the issue, it's the harshness of it all.

My corp has survived for a while and while we're not pirates, we respect the pirates that keep the spirit alive. Not these dime a dozen sit ont he undock in a Thanatos guys.

I've been killed by Veto, no anger, just wrong place at the wrong time... and I don't pay ransoms. Kudos to Ethan for lasting so long, especially since it's his first MMO.

This "just a game" you speak of, where can i find some?

Eve is not a game, it is THE game.

Actually, unlike many other MMOs, you can have a life and play EVE. Thanks to the skill system CPP went with you don't have to grind 24/7 to advance your character. You can even walk away for a week and come back to character that was better then when you left.

- I am not fan of the pirating. Although Low sec is Low sec, and under no circumstances is it safe. This I have learned and come to accept.

Having personally fought against Veto several times having the honor of being killed by them and killing them they are one of the funnest fights to be had. They bring a lot to the table and really challenge their opponent.

My hat goes off to the members of Veto with their tactics, savage fighting, and awesome sportsmanship. Not once have i had a fight with them were any smack talk or negative feelings were exchanged. Just good fights and a "cant wait to fight you all again"

They are a good group of people.

Thanks for the positive comments on the article guys.

It was fun to do this interview, and reading it back to myself really makes it hit home how far the copr has come since it was founded.
