Just like around the end of june, they dangled that PVP patch to everyone at the end of july to get the re-subscribers yet again, only they do not deliver.

Ya all the aoc bashers I bashed on before can now point at me and say "I told you so!". I was waiting one more patch to see if they were going to add anything interesting for my lvl 80 toon. Thankfully I have discovered requiem: Bloodymane and will play that until WAR comes out (and its starting to look like I will be playing it after, more fun than expected!)
Bye AoC, much like your predecessor anarchy online, you will be a great game when you get all growd up!

I wouldn't have been disappointed if the developpers had warned before hand that the pvp update was NOT coming, or at least acknowledged in the notes that the pvp that they said last week was coming 'next week' was NOT there, perhaps even with some sort of new ETA or an apology. But instead, they release the new patch notes etc as though they had never heard of the PVP update.

I really like Age of Conan. Don't get me wrong. But at this stage I think all the people who were quick to hate on the game have left. So I wish Funcom could be more transparent with its loyal subscribers, who see their monthly subscription as an investment into a game that looks very promising in the future, and will therefore not be put off (and will instead be inspired) by honesty in the developers and a willingness to give bad news.

Come on Funcom, treat us with respect and honesty! Stop putting carrots in front of us and then giving no explanation when the carrot is silently moved further away.

Did they actually say it'd be in? Because I missed it and it would have sort of surprised me.

The initial ETA of this summer seemed realistic (ignoring the people who apparently thought this meant 2 weeks from the announcement) considering it's a whole new system. They don't want to muck this up I'd think and as a player I'd prefer it well-tested too.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go look at some harem girls..

Danarchy, welcome to the club, please come in. Like a drink? Enjoy. There's a nice seat right over here where you can wait for WAR along with the rest of us.

The routine is getting very old; they promise stuff, they put out "Coming next week" warnings all over, then don't deliver anything and don't say a word about it either.

I like the core of AoC, still to this day, but I've grown very disappointed in Funcom. I don't know whether they don't have a clue what their doing, or they're aiming for that Fraud of the Year award.
