I'd totally like them to polish the game before it's out. That way, once it is out, people won't complain that "this game is good, but it's no GW1, so you can avoid it".

"With recent news of other games opting to release "on time" with minimal content, we can't help but scratch our heads at this type of situation. It's been asked a million times before, but we'll ask it again: would you rather have a partial game released now, or a complete game released later?"

Sir, screw your biased news. I am so sick of Massively's "news" with such uninformed drivel constantly tacked on. I'm done with the site. Sorry to the posters that actually take care when posting news.

Wow, this "article" is chock full of hyperbole. You should really know what you are talking about before calling out other games (WAR) for releasing with "minimal content." Also GW2 is NOT built from scratch.

Shawn, I am big fan of your work and the fact that we both play the LOTRO which is the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) of MMOs but you really should not have throw in the line about some games opting to release "on time" with minimal content. Because whether it was intended or not it came off as a knock on Warhammer Online and you know us WAR fanboys will open up an can of WAAAGH on you about talking about our game, which has not been release yet and the majority of us has not played but that is beside the point. Do not take the fanboy hate personally, we just need something to be up and arms about until WAR is released. And where is my new episode of Oh My God Real Life?

That's a bit of a false dichotomy. No MMO by nature is complete at launch. Some are more functional than others at launch but this little to do with the amount of content present which only grows past the release date. What you seem to be suggesting is a completeness with respect to features and content which the developers have announced prior to launch, to be available at launch. I would rather leave the decision in the hands of the developer and let them decide if features/content they might need to cut to meet a launch date are game defining in such a way as to make the experience without them derivative and boring.

The issue is the big "Whine fest" is over this reporter stating information about ANOTHER game in an article about GW.

It really does not belong.

But, we must also remember that all the WAR fans are on tippy toes when it comes to the heated debate over "missing content"...because for all purposes...it is NOT missing to them, and instead makes it a better "release" game.

Even the smallest of quips that is but a blip on the radar becomes heated debate.

We will not know until the final game is in our hands what the real story is.

But, really the attack about WAR should not have been here.

Go make a blog if you feel the need to attack something Mr. Schuster.
