I think the better question is: can they make STO a world that does not posses all the horrid features the WoW community supposedly seems to be imposing on developers these days because 10 million people don't know any better? lets hope so! The evidence of that capacity is actuarially in the CoX work. though their are problems with it it's systems and mechanics were very innovative at the time it was launched.
Please, no more levels, and no more innocuous grinding and lets not have a STO that creates the didactic opposition of "hardcore" and "casual"... can't we all just get along (or at least have a MMORPG that does not position us against each other)
