Second Life Relay for Life 2008

  • Summit's up -- Worlds in Motion Summit announced 2008 schedule.
  • Walking in two worlds -- Moreau, mad science, and meaningful mobility.
  • 14,618 new signups bringing the total to 14,432,696 signups.
  • A peak concurrency of 66,407 at 2:00PM, and a minimum concurrency of 40,590 at 2:05AM. Median concurrency for the day was 52,933.

The Grid Stability Index for the day was 0.96 (lower is better). Concurrency was high, but failed to quite reach the peak in mid-May. Unfortunately, due to problems, the new search system and viewer downloads were unavailable for much of the day, and the Second Life website for part of the day.

Below is the day's concurrency graphed for yesterday (left), and the corresponding day from the previous week (right)

Recent users reported by Linden Lab (that is, users who have logged in at least once within the last 60 days) is 1,051,489. Linden Lab last updated this figure on 20 Jul 2008 at 23:59.
