are you guys making this more than it really is? its just a game that was not even released but in Beta. Would there been all this fan service if the Beta actually continued, the game was released, and people complained about much it sucked compared to "insert your MMO title here"? I feel sorry for the developers, producers, and staff, not the players in all this.

I can see where you are coming from. Either way, a post regarding the final shutdown would have been posted yesterday. Yes, even though it was a just a beta. We've covered end of beta events before, but they are usually more jovial fun affairs since they will launch.

I was lucky enough to cover the end of beta event and wanted to personalize the post for those Mythos players who were unable to attend. I appreciate the fair constructive criticism, and also agree with you regarding the staff that lost their positions.
