I was at first shocked and upset as well, but have come to see the silver lining. I'll try to keep it short.

They couldn't delay again. Their best chance at drawing people away from wow is before wotlk.

So with that in mind they had to cut out the poorest elements. Those who don't know won't care what has been cut, but they would notice a broken or dull.

With cutting out the bad they can focus on what is already proven to be really entertaining in beta and make it truely spectacular for launch, which will increase their chances of drawing people in.

cuts hurt, but they heal with time

I remember back to the launch of Dark Age of Camelot. I had a fun time, and after perusing the class descriptions I decided on a shaman and started playing.

Well, to make a long story short, in the beginning of DAoC shamans were absolutely terrible, and there was literally nothing that they could do that a healer could not do better. The class was terrible, and had obviously not been finished and well tested, and my enjoyment of the game suffered immensely from it. I actually quit because of it, but ended up playing again at a later time with a different class and having a lot of fun.

Anyway, if cutting some lame classes means I will not have to experience that again, then I am ALL FOR IT. This is coming from someone who had 'Choppa' in his top 5 as well.

I’ve been following Warhammer for three years now, and although the concept is good, it’s just getting more and more watered down as time goes by.

I read articles about smoke and mirrors on Mythic’s part; just publishing enough development info to get you excited, but never actually showing it working in-game. People can have amazing ideas, but implementation is something completely different, and I feel like Mythic is lacking on that front.

I try not to listen to the people that say all we really have are some carefully-crafted screenshots and movies, easily rendered, but not necessarily implemented - and I wonder to myself: Is “War” really “Coming”, or are we just waiting for AOC all over again?
