Honestly... and speaking as a long-time Warhammer (not WAR) fanatic... good on 'em.

While I've been waiting for a game like this for 20 some odd years and could wait longer if I had too, the MMO market may not be so forgiving. It's also not so forgiving, these days, of half-arsed content.

As Funcom is finding out.

They need to be fully-arsed (wholly-arsed? completely arsed?) right out of the gate. Cutting the... not-so-fully arsed stuff during beta is the right decision, I think.

You missed a lot of Mark's comments and threads on the Vault boards:

Why doesn't he just outright say it already: "We had a deadline and we couldn't delay anymore, so we were forced to cut content to release. We are not like Blizzard, we're not being allowed to release our MMO when everything is ready."

Because if you could read you'd see that Jeff already stated that this decision was not from EA it was solely from Mythic.

Blizzard does not release when "everything is ready"

They have more budget now to play with, so that helps them, but in the end any company is only going to add so much development time into a game before the projected returns won't cut enough profit. At that point, the game ships... period.

Blizzard has released a LOT of games with problems only to fix them after the fact with patches.

Now out of all the comments of "I hate you Mythic" and "Jacobs is a fool" how many of you are still going to buy this. Don't lie, just be honest and think on it. Many of you who threaten and jibe about this entire thing will continue on to buy the game regardless of the situation because you hope and pray it will get better. You hope in time they will change things and that there will be a big increase in the way things are going. Mythic will deliver and alot of you know this, which is why you are holding out hopes.

I will be honest and say that even after all the pain and problems, and even after all I have read and the disappointment(sp), I am still buying this game. It's anticipated and I held out hopes even after Conan that this would turn out to be the better game. Three simple letters justify that reasoning and I will spell them out and see how many of you agree.

A PvP aspect of the game based around DAoC's tried and true method of doing things :
