interesting article considering blizzard north was dissolved because of them wanting to keep WOW on the "original" course, meaning the blizzard north team had a direction and they wanted to keep it going. Vivendi would have none of this and started making design decisions without blizzard norths input, so they quit and fragmented.

White papers are available on the situation when vivendi took over and what they said would happen. It makes one wonder if blizzard north had been allowed to do what they wanted, what wow would be like today, instead of what vivendi has turned it into.

I have yet to know of a game that got rushed and pushed out the door and it ended up being a good thing. It never is.

And given the results of what Flagship did, I think we can right off those head people from Blizzard North as not the strong part of Blizzard they were once thought to be. In fact, they were probably the weaker link.
