I'm sad he dislikes text based communication. Would SL drop text chat altogether, and make voice mandatory I'd be out of it due to domestic restrictions.

I wonder if injecting 2.700.000 L$ into the SL economy is a smart idea. It's like the government printing additional money with no backing...

Once per year, that's a drop in the economic bucket. Technically to maintain a stable economy, the currency in circulation has to grow (or shrink) in line with the availability of goods and services. In RL that's a really tricky calculation to figure out. In SL, though - the math is considerably simplified.
