The biggest thing I would like to know is if "Tempest storm" will be 50% increased targets total, or 50% per point. If it is 50% per point that isn't bad at all (still lets us take 6 which is more than enough) and if it's 50% that still comes out to like ~4.5.

I too understand what they were getting at. Lightning strike I think was nerfed purely because of the burst potential, although I wonder how much of a damage hit it took. Still the no CD on it helps a lot for dealing damage so it's not bad if it is a small hit to the damage.

The good thing is I caught up to my conq on my ToS just in time (57 now).

And even still, however, I think I can take 6 mobs just fine with cooldowns. Our 1m CD nuke doesn't seem to have taken a hit, for example.

Overall I just hope people stop bitching about Tempest of Set being overpowered, because it has gotten old. The good thing about this nerf is that all the scrubs playing the class will run back to their main while the actual players who enjoy the class will stick with it. And while I loved AoE grinding I do realize it was a problem and am just glad they didn't nerf the damage. At any rate even if it is 4-5 targets (thinking ~5 it would round to) that is a very respectful number to AoE at once.

I'm very happy about this change and I even play a Tempest of Set. Though he's 73 now so this won't affect me as much as others.

But it was pretty ridiculous that I could AOE so many things at once. ToS leveled twice as fast as anyone else, easily taking on 4-5 mobs 4-5 levels higher than me. No balance to that at all.

This change was good. But it's still not enough to make me want to continue my subscription. The rest of the game is a complete mess, it might be good six months from now but by then Warhammer will be out and I won't have to worry about Funcom ripping me off anymore.

What worries me is the massive scale of the changes. Not "Okay, lets introduce more pet points a little lower, and drop nuke damage a bit, see how it goes", no this is fairly much a complete redesign.

It feels like they're going to be bouncing the class between extremes, and probably were throughout beta, from the looks of things.

We ToS knew a nerf was coming, it could of been much worse. Anyone know if our pulsing aoe can hit more than 3 targets with talent points?

Good question actually, acording to the patch notes only storm field was nerfed, not storm crown.

I am really disappointed.. not in the patch. But in my AoC fellow players. For a game that is mature rated the forums are as bad as immature and bad as WoW General Forums. Hopefully the immature winners will quit and leave AoC soon. There are still nuggets of valuable information so I do a quick look and get out.
I have not patched AoC yet , however by reading the notes it looks good. I was happy to here about larger bags, and video performance improvements.

Just a note: Read the LOTRO general forums vs. AoC general .. nigh and day. I really do believe any game with heavy PvP (WoW, AoC) attracts the whiney folks. cant wait to read the Warhammer general…pfft.

Agreed.

The best thing I read was:

"After rerolling from a Guardian to ToS after overreach was nerfed they decide to nerf ToS? WTF?"

Good game, fucking owned FoTM roller.

It is true that a PvP game attracts a different crowd. I usually don't mind it, but I stay clear from the forums. I just hope this will rid of some of the idiots in the ToS class.

And larger bags sounds great, maybe a reason to buy 'em now.

@ Nadril
Thanks.. funny part is there are some great folks playing. I think there is something about posting in a forum that makes you want to /rant /flame. I’d be a hypocrite if I said I never done it. :) Just surprised it was so bad in AoC.
BTW:
Sorry for all the typos in original post .. “stream of though” typing while at work. Post it fast then alt-tab back to my SAS program and work.

ok replace pbaoe aura with cyclone of set.....problem fixed.

To be honest I am a little happy that they did this, cause it will drive allot of the tourists out of the class. I run with a barb that does aoe knockdowns and a nightfall necro so its not going to make a huge difference for us. But the fact that I could pull the majority of the cannibal cave and melt it when I was 6 levels lower than the mobs was someone unbalanced.....hehe

At least I got to 66 before it got pwnd. Now back to slogging it out with the rest of ya =P

New bags are great!!!!

Too bad they introduced a new bug that prevents you from actually equipping the bags.

I think this pretty much sums up Funcoms commitment to their product. Put out a patch and pray it all works. No testing at all. Oh don't open your tradskill tab if your an alchemist, you will crash 100% of the time. Another patch, another failure.

What? I equiped not one, but two different bags (accidently bought a 10c one reading it as 10s) and they equipped just fine.

The new bag space is incredible, 16 extra slots for 10s.
