I hope PCGA can do something because PC gaming needs standards or at least guidelines so that when you buy a game you know not only that it will run on your system but how it will run. PC gaming will never get to a console level where it does not matter if your PS3 or XBox 360 is 2 years old, it will still play that brand new game that just dropped but the PCGA is a step in the right direction.

Almost all computers you see in the stores have crappy video cards. To get a good video card you have to buy something way over your budget.

The only place where this isn't true is Dell where they actually help you build a computer based on your needs (on the phone at least). Its not perfect since they'll want to sell you the kitchen sink, but its a step in the right direction.

Anyway, I build all my own computers. Cheaper and more fun ;)
