So would "a kick in the b@!!$" be more appropriate =) ? I generally dont mind class changes at all. It's something new to look forward to the next time I log on, especially if its so radical that I get a free talent respec out of it!

I may be wrong, but I think that the idiom "a slap in the face" has more to do with a direct challenge than some sort of sleight. A slap with a glove was once the accepted method of challenging someone to a duel, and generally the response to a perceived wrongdoing. If so, then using it in this case would be incorrect, as the writer actually means to infer negligence, not outright hostility - "The devs are nerfing Warlocks? This is an obvious example that they don't care about we fans of this vaunted class" vs. "The devs are nerfing Warlocks? They obviously hate us and are telling us by their actions to rain down fiery hell upon their families."
