Graphics really don't bother me as much as others. I never really invest huge amounts of time in MMO's. I'm that annoying friend who's always 2-3 levels behind you. I play primarily with my RL friends, but often I scoop in the SA goons by making a thread over at somethingawful. In most cases, MMO's are only held up by their social features. If you released WoW as a single player game, you'd just laugh, auto attack and quests that are horrendously boring. What keeps me going is having something to do with my friends. If they go, I go. Visa versa sometimes too.

If I have to give myself a reason to log into a game, I've realized it's time to move on. I've never been one to log into a game just because my guild needed me. This is silly. I play for fun and I already have a job.

This recently happened with me and Age of Conan. I had a really fun guild and several people to group/quest with but seemed as soon as I hit level 62, I instantly didn't want to play anymore. I was the highest Priest and was "sought" after but if I'm not interested, what's the point?

I left WoW just because raiding didn't interest me anymore, and the PvP in the game was already piss-poor and boring. I guess thats really it, I'll quit a game if I dislike it.

Now that being said I've stuck it out for a bit in some games because my friends were in it. I probably stuck in WoW for a good bit longer just because I enjoyed hanging with my guild.

WoW was driving me nutty, raids 4 days a week for 4 hours and constantly wiping to other people's stupid mistakes or going afk. The 1-70 experiance is amazing first time but the end game is absolute garbage, despite the fact everyone seems to want to rush there ASAP and then loiter for their PvP or raid epics so they can get 20% more stats than the people in blues and auto-win in solo gaming.

I always play a healer or tank and I could not believe that nobody wanted to group outside of an instance or group quest, just abuse my character and dispose of me for their own gains. What a disgusting playstyle that seems to be the 100% norm in Warcraft, in other MMOs people group up for more than just your damn loot, friendship and teamwork!

So I quit and wait for an MMO where people atleast want to group and not demand a tank+healer+raidleader babysitter for only their enjoyment.
