You could -maybe- fit 100 civs on a map.. The game would have to be completely different from the series and just carry the civ name. Not interested, thanks.

There's nothing wrong with deviating from past gaming styles to be incorporating into a new one. One the major factors for World of Warcraft's popularity is that it had firmly established fanbase as a real-time-strategy game.

I don't see it as bad thing for the Civilization franchise to expand its horizons within the MMO genre.
