After listening to arguements here, I would like to share my opinion on Warhammer and its competitor World of Warcraft. I have played World of Warcraft for quite some time, mainly in a PvE focus. I feel that as World of Warcraft really shifts its attention to PvP they are giving hard core raiders such as myself the short end of the stick. This brings me to the round about conclusion that, if I'm going to play a game for PvP, then why play a game where PvP is the afterthought and hasn't been fully fleshed out when Warhammer has built their game around the central aspect of RvR.

Blizzard has been steering their game in a direction I myself feel is not beneficial to its hardcore raiders. This is even more evident with the option to raid all content in Wrath of the Lich King as a ten man group.

Hopefully, Warhammer can begin to distinguish itself from World of Warcraft. As you said, many people take a look at the vidoes on Youtube, or see two year old screenshots and draw unfair conclusions about the game. Many of the videos and screenshots aren't even shown with a shader engine enabled. I hope as we progress closer to a release date and the lift of NDA that the online community will start to really see how EA Mythic plans on bringing their game to the table.

I'm sorry but the WAR Tome of Knowledge DOES sound alot like what LOTRO has in place. All the same things you gush about for the Tome of Knowledge already have been implemented in LOTRO. You called it the Lorebook but I'm pretty sure that is just the online wiki on the official site. There are traits/titles/virtues gained by doing by killing/exploring/having emotes done to you etc. And in your article about the tome nothing is in there at all acknowledging anything about what LOTRO already has.

For people that have not played Dark Age of Camelot and have only played WoW, Warhammer is going to be a massive step up in the PvP department. I hear a lot of people playing down the fun factor of PvP in regards to Warhammer. When PvP actualy means something and has an effect on the world it makes it so much more enjoyable.

Furthermore WoW will never have a PvP as good as Warhammers for the simple reason that the two factions are virtual copies of each other. Whilst classes in Warhammer have similar roles and abilities they are not 99% the same as the other factions class.

Time will tell but I am confident Warhammer will do extremely well and take a large portion of WoW's PvP'rs and a smaller portion of its raiders.

Nice scoop on the pricing model changes for DDO! This is the first I've heard of it. Good to see my favorite MMO getting some talk time on the show as well. Nice work all.
