Sorry to be negative, but those Defiant items suck. I looked up the rogue items in the Lucy database and my ancient gear from 4 years ago is better. Raid gear, to be sure, but still much better than the stuff they're giving away. It's not going to help you out that much.

You, my friend, are on drugs. The defiant armor is the best set of pre-65 armor IN THE GAME. The only things they are missing are right-clicks and heroic stats. As to the OP, however: The weapons, however, do quite suck. Saying "their stats alone make them awesome" shows how little you know about the game. You don't use weapons for their stats. Your stats are maxed-out, or damn near it, from the armor. You use weapons for either dmg/dly ratio, which is utter trash on every single defiant weapon compared to already in-game, tradeable ones, or procs/effects, which none of the defiants have. The promotion is total crap. Way to screw your paying customers. It's nice to know SOE never really changes, I suppose.

I've been a raid cleric for years and recently restarted in EQ as a ranger, now 45. The Defiant weapons weren't godly, but the ratios were decent and the stats actually were amazing for a non-maxed out character. Not everyone has max level uber raid geared characters, after all. I will concede that the armor is better than the weapons. I think I do know the game, though. Adding augments to the weapons (like the store-bought ones in Crescent Reach, for example) definitely puts them in a class by themselves for lower level, non-raid geared players.
