I like raiding without all the planning. While its nice to be able to get 10 people and perfectly execute an encounter, it never happens like that in WoW. There's always the 2 people who just. don't. get it. Which ruins the night.

Though the itemization from DAoC's 2nd expansion, Trials of Atlantis, was controversial in that it could be considered too powerful...
...The actual "trials" in the new zones were fantastic.

People made use of the general area chat for actually intelligent reasons, to organize battlegroups to take on raid encounters for Master levels or getting guarded artifacts.
Quite often would I join one of the groups on a whim when all I had originally intended to do when I got to an area was farm for some scrolls.

I'm really looking forward to that style of impromptu organization.

What I *don't* want to do ever again is schedule identical *weekly* PvE raids on the same material indefinitely.
A dynamic RvR-based endgame with realm-wide economic incentives is far superior IMO.

Thanks for the answers, real happy to know that the PvE element is strong, with all the information we were getting it was always RvR, i know thats the main theme of the game but still we needed a little info on PvE just to understand how they scale with each other.

Very little to nothing at all has been said of the Knight of the Blazing Sun. What is the latest news on this class?

The Knight of the Blazing Sun will probably be the Chaos Chosen's mirror class, but instead of debuff auras it will have auras to buff his/her allies.
