Fantastic run down. I'm going to have to resub before that live event happens opening the new area. The hours leading up to and including the marketplace tent destruction were the most fun I've had in any MMO.

The 10 year plan thing is interesting. DDO really isn't for everyone as it's completely different than the typical MMO, and though I really enjoy my time with it I find it suprising that they expect that much life. Granted, during that marketplace I have screen shots of over 55 instances on my sever in particular.

Could it be Turbine's new venture capitol could go to a console DDO adaptation? Many people seem to think Turbine is hitting the consoles, and DDO is much more console friendly than LOTRO (simply because of the run and gun active combat style)

I agree with you Schad, I think DDO would be easier to port to console than LOTRO because of the active combat. The voice chat is already built in so a little tweaking here and there I think it could work well on console.

if u r having trouble with lag in DDO, then u should check out fast.co.uk.

u wont have any lag or internet probs any more.

its all about having a dedicated service provider, and staying away from phone and media company`s.

i left vergin media 18 months ago, i had a 20meg conection with them, but couldnt get any better than 250 - 350kbs and that was off peak.

my new povider gives me 8 meg coz thats wot my line can handle, and i get over 700kbs during peak time, and have never laged since.
