You know... I'm not so sure about all this. I'm thinking a hot pink with purple polka-dot or a nice shade of fluorescent red would really to the trick. :)

Actually, I don't see much of a problem with the new UI. My only gripe at this point is that the IM tabs only flash once or twice then stop.

I've actually gotten into the habit of closing a private IM tab (I still like general chat history open) just so that when I get a reply three-minutes later, the tab will reappear and I'll hear the 'ding'.

That's how bad a change that was (from constant blinking IM tab to a couple blinks, then barely distinguishable solid color.) :\

Hmmm Think I'll search Jira for that non-blinking IM window and vote on it. Or create an entry as a BUG.

Actually, there's debug options that controls the frequency and duration of IM tab blinking. They've both been turned way down by default.

I can't think of the names of them at the moment, but they are there.

HA! Thank you! :)

That debug list is so long, I really need to set four hours aside and read it. LOL. :)

And on a personal note, I can't get enough of your reporting, Tateru. Three thumbs-up. Thank you.

A-Ha! So I can blame Dazzle for missing IMs! Sometimes when my sound is off I don't even notice that new ones start. The dark blue on light blue or white on light blue are also very hard to read ... especially the new "linked" names in the the current Release Client. The RC's frequent crashes (now even more frequent, thanks to a new feature) led me to use the standard viewer and I find that working with inventory, IMs, Chat History and other windows is much easer. I can more easily see the window contents. A more customizable viewer would be great. But I if I have to use Dazzle it will be one more reason to start looking at alternatives to the Second Lifeā„¢ world.

Actually, the human eye is most sensitive to green, specifically 550 nanometers.
