How about just more information period? Right now all we know is that its being made, and that Chris Metzen is collaborating.

That hasn't changed in 2+ years.

Quality cinematography and snappy editing, I'd say. The movie will stand on it's own as a movie. Critical and commercial success is the most important thing.

That said, I would like to see Thrall in the movie, and have the orcs portrayed as honorable foes instead of rampaging berserkers. I've heard that it's going to be Alliance-centric, which is fine, but as long as the horde get good representation in the movie I'll be happy.

I can think of five MUSTS for a good WoW movie:

1) The company making it should hire 5 heavily armed security guards (preferably from Blackwater) To make sure Uwe Boll doesn't get within 100 yards of the production site

2) The storyline should not contain a orphan raised by (insert pulp fantasy template here), a determined yet terribly cheesy group of young adventurers, or a spunky rough around the edges female character. This has been done to death over and over and over......

3) If they really want to hook their core audience it should come directly from established lore. But you just KNOW its going to involve some evil overlord trying to take over the world, and a prophecy of some sort.

4) There must be at least one gnome rogue character and one night elf hunter. Because anyone that plays wow knows you can't run 30 steps in any direction without seeing one.

5) At some point during the movie the characters should come across a person standing in the middle of a populated area shouting over and over about "chieapest pryces on gold! You bye now!" to truley recreate the wow experience

All theaters showing the WoW movie must shut down for Tuesday morning and part of the afternoon, then suddenly cancel the first Tuesday afternoon show. With scattered outages that night.

I kid, I'm a kidder...

It should use no-name actors and focus on the story not the star power. World of Warcraft starring Tom Cruise and Zack Effron would stink by principle.

A sense of humor.

If the film is trying to mimic Lord of the Rings, it will fail. It needs to be quirky, and true to WoW.
